We are looking for a Chef de Partie who will support our Head Chef to deliver high quality food.

You will be a professional individual with an excellent levels of English, knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene and a passion for brilliant food.

Kitchen Assistants

We have opportunities for experienced Kitchen Assistants to join our forward thinking, fun team in our brand new, refurbished Brasserie.

You will:

  • Assist Chefs with food preparation
  • Keep the very busy kitchen clean and sanitised
  • Collecting and washing equipment
  • Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and tidy so that it is able to deliver high standards

Core skills and requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role is essential
  • Ability to speak and understand English
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene would be an advantage

Waitress / Waiter

We are looking for experienced waiter's/waitresses to join the Les Ormes Brasserie Team.  You will be required to provide excellent customer service to all our guests.

Ideally you should have previous experience in a restaurant or F and B service orientated role.  For the right candidate, we can offer a friendly work environment with an excellent remuneration package based on experience and ability.

Permanent and Seasonal, full time positions available.

Summer Activities Team Members

We are looking for Holiday Activities Team Members who are well organised, efficient, flexible and who are able to work in a fast-paced and often challenging Holiday Club environment.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work well as part of a team, calmly, with energy and a sense of humour.

You will:

  • Plan, organise and deliver on and off site activities, under the supervision and guidance of the respective Managers.
  • Deliver optimum entertainment for the children, involving a varied daily programme of Play opportunities including appropriate ‘free time’ and child initiated activities plus sessions of sport/drama/arts & crafts/miscellaneous games/team bonding type activities and competitions
  • Deal with any problems or issues calmly, swiftly and appropriately
  • Ensure the health and safety of the children at all times
  • Encourage fair and caring behaviour, independence and self-esteem amongst children
  • Be sufficiently flexible to deal with unexpected situations
  • Administrative duties as required
  • Any other reasonable or appropriate duties that Les Ormes requires with the role

Core Skills and Requirements

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Enjoy working with children
  • Enjoy working outside in all weathers 
  • Ability to follow instructions 
  • Self-motivated 
  • A keen interest in either sports, drama and/or arts and crafts
  • Experience working in a childcare/play care/children’s activities environment would be an advantage
  • An aquatics background would be desirable but not essential
  • Life guarding qualification would be an advantage but is not essential
  • Must be 16 years of age+
  • 5 years residency required

Breakfast Chef

We are looking for experienced Breakfast Chef to join our new Kitchen Team at Les Ormes Brasserie in St Brelade.

You will be responsible for breakfast preparation and service in our brand new Kitchen. You should be self-motivated, professional and a team player and ready to learn with our experienced Kitchen team.

Apprentice Chef

We are looking for the next star Chef to train with our Head Chef Trevor Howard and his team in our fabulous new Brasserie from September 2018.

  • You will ne between 16 and 18 years old - school leaver with no previous experience
  • Attend Highlands College on day release (1 or 2 days per week) and take NVQ Chef qualification
  • Trevor is an NVQ assessor, so you will be assessed on the job as well as at Highlands
  • You will have the opportunity to work in all sections: pizza, starters, mains, butchery and fishmongery
  • With 2 years you are qualified and able to work at Chef de Partie level
