Michelle
A little bit about Michelle...
With a passion for inclusive fitness and helping people of all ages and abilities achieve their health goals, Michelle is a qualified and highly experienced group fitness instructor.
Michelle holds a 2-year Diploma in Sport & Exercise Science (NQF Level 5) from ETA College (2010–2011). Further qualifications include certifications in Aerobics, Step, and Tone; Indoor Cycling; Barre Body and “S.W.E.A.T. 1000”, with specializations in pregnancy, special needs, children, and older adults.
Michelle has further enhanced her expertise through workshops in Myofascial Release, Muscle Activation, and Exercise Program Design.
Originally from South Africa, she gained extensive experience in the fitness industry in Cape Town, where she taught high-intensity “S.W.E.A.T. 1000” group classes (Specialized Weight Endurance Athletic Training) at BUC Gym (2011–2013) and delivered one-on-one training as an HS Exercise Specialist. She appeared as an aerobics assistant on SABC 3’s Expresso Morning Show on national television.
Since relocating to Jersey, she has been teaching dynamic group classes at Active, inspiring members with energetic, safe, and effective workouts that cater to all fitness levels.
Whether leading high-strengthening Tone & Sculpt sessions, graceful barre classes, intense HIIT-style programs or Rejuvenating Yin & Stretch classes, Michelle is dedicated to making fitness accessible, enjoyable, and transformative for everyone.
